Dear Friends,

We are writing in hopes of securing your help in supporting an event to keep the memory of Levi Baur, a 4th grade student at Crawford Elementary School, alive. Levi was a very special young boy who was an avid outdoorsman. Levi drowned in a tragic accident on December 16, 2001. It is our hope that the Levi Baur 1st Annual Archery Memorial Shoot Out will grow and become an event that all lovers of the outdoors will enjoy and look forward to year after year. Proceeds from the event will go to the Levi Baur Scholarship fund at Crawford School & Ted Nugent Kamp for Kids.

The 2 day event will start Saturday, March 23, 2002 with an archery event in Tonkawa Park. There will be 3-D targets set up on courses for both adults and youth. For a nominal fee participants can go through a course experiencing the feel of bow hunting as well as get a taste of true archery competition. There will be activities for all ages in the park, concessions, and a memorial service & balloon release for Levi. On Sunday, March 24, 2002 a world class Texas Bar-B-Q meal, auction and raffle will be held in the Amslers Building on Main Street in Crawford, Texas. Ted Nugent, famous Rock and Roll star and hunting enthusiast will be at the Bar-B-Q to meet & greet all who come. Nugent has graciously donated a hunt in which he will accompany a lucky person to Sample's Ranch in Cranfills Gap, TX. There will be many great silent and audible auction items at the Bar-B-Q as well. It is our hope that parents will use this opportunity to bring their children out to experience archery & the great outdoors. We feel this event is a wonderful way to keep Levi's memory alive and in our hearts as well as provide an opportunity for all who knew Levi to remember him in a way that he would have enjoyed.
