Hi all...
Your web site is very interesting and informative, I was in Crawford about one month ago (May 19), and of course purchased the "mandatory" George W. Bush T-shirt from Larry and Norma at "Crawford Country Style." I met several local people who were very helpful with directions, and everyone I met was very friendly. Wishing you all the best...:)

I like the small town feeling I get when I visited your web site. Never have been to Texas, and would like to see some maps of your area. We are horse people up here in Minnesota, and would like to be able to visit you some day.

Congratulations for having the foresight to establish your website. You definitely have placed yourself in an advantage to assist your community prosper in the years to come. I followed a link on a new story about President Bush. I can see how his wife and him choose to have a place in you beautiful town. I wish you all the success in the world. This is one great looking place.
I have never been to Texas, but if I go, Crawford will be the one place I visit.
God bless you all

Look out Crawford Citizens technology progress is coming to your area fast. Great idea for the web site! A local small town called Frazier Park started this way and now has a web site for the school, businesses, and even web cams for viewing the roads. I'm sure your web site will influence more of the laid back Crawford citizens to step on this fast moving train and get a computer online to see what's going on. UGH!

Why this sounds like a very sweet little town! After reading the Los Angeles Times article (June 17,2001), I now want to visit! I've never even been to Texas. I pray that this little town is not exploited by insensitive investors. I'm sure I'll visit Crawford this year. Thank you Very Much! Adrienne Francine Miley, Concierge, Sheraton Pasadena Hotel, Pasadena, California

This website was included in an article in the Los Angeles Times today. I was especially interested in the "Photos" section. The pictures of downtown resemble an attraction at Universal Studios in Los Angeles. I'm guessing that Crawford is the real thing...

I truly enjoyed learning more about the President's home town of Crawford, Texas. It seems to be a nice place to live. I especially prefer small towns.
![]()
I think it is wonderful, that you have a website where people can learn about Crawford. I am also pleased to have President George W. Bush, as a resident of McLennan County. It has given Crawford a well needed boost. As one of the last few descendants of Neill McLennan, Sr., for whom the county was named, living in the county, I sent, then Governor Bush, a letter welcoming him to Mclennan County. and assuring him, that "Old Neill", would have been, very proud, to have him as a resident of the county. Sincerely, Sally McLennan Truhlar

I am glad to see the pastor of the Patton Baptist Church added his hello below. I too lived in Crawford and was proud of it before the recent election. I am the grandson of Roy Black and Anna Mae Elder Black and the Black family called Crawford home (or "town") for more than a hundred year. Roy, Hubert(my father) and I went to school there. May the nature of the Crawfords good people never change. Randall Black MD rblack@edge.net .

On March 23rd my Wife and I visited Crawford, TX on our way down to our son's ranch in Liberty Hill, TX. We enjoyed our brief, but pleasant 2 hour visit there. I had picked up a letter sent to there General Delivery, just to say I had and the Postmaster was very nice and pleasant to talk with. Mailed a few inaugural postmarks to relatives. Then we made a good choice to stop at the "Coffee Station" for a bite to eat and some more visiting.
We picked up a few T-shirts, hand towels and coffee mugs with the Crawford/Bush logos on them from the Bairds. We felt right at home with you all and I want to thank the people of your warm community for a making it so.
I worked many years in the Agrispray business as a spray pilot, in and around the state of Texas. Being in the farming community again is always a pleasure. I realize how much I miss it. Hope to spend more time with my son and family on their ranch after I retire. There's plenty of work waiting for me, cutting, ear taging, doctoring calves, and drilling in haygrazer, etc.
We will return to Crawford as I feel a connection there. My grandfather and his father came from Tennessee to Garrison, TX in the 1890s, just like all the Scots that settled in the Robertson Colony. Quite a history there in central Texas. We also made a trip to Salado, TX and found the historical museum there.
All in all I love Texas and her people. We are proud of our new President and First Lady. God bless them and our country.
Thanks again Crawford!
Sincerely,
Ronald and Marlene Crawford 17 Roy Crawford Lane Santa Fe, NM 87505

Hi, I am Chase Harrell, and I go to Crawford High School. I am in the seventh grade. I think that it is really cool that Bush, or president lives in our community. Hey! My name is Chad Savage and I have visited Crawford many times because my aunt and uncle live there and own the Fina Gas Station. Stan and Kathy Nagel and Jacob are lucky to live in the town where our President has a ranch. Lots of my family live around the Crawford area. They spread out from Moody to McGregor to Crawford to Valley Mills, and to Whitney. Right now I live outside of Dallas in a medium sized town called Rowlett. I plan to spend my entire Spring Break in Crawford helping my aunt and uncle at their store.

As 1986 Crawford High graduates, we are so proud that our children now have the opportunity to share in the same traditions and pride that we grew up knowing. Crawford is a very special town to us and we are thrilled with the website. As children we were fortunate enough to have access to the beautiful Tonkawa Falls (and several worn out swimsuit bottoms). After a decade(or more)of the Park being closed, access is once again available to our community. RV sites and tent spots are available for rental for anyone who will be visiting the Home of President George W. Bush. We are so proud of our home town.

My wife and I visited Crawford on Saturday evening after the Colin Powell announcement at the elementary school that morning. We had been visiting in Temple and Belton, where our oldest daughter and son-in-law teach and coach, and where our youngest daughter attends UMHB. We enjoyed the visit very much and bought a couple of t-shirts. The people were typical small-town Texas folks - friendly and helpful. We also visited George W.'s ranch. The website is a great idea and nicely done. I'm glad the president-elect chose to buy a ranch near Crawford where he can stay close to his Texas roots and have a place to escape from the pressures of Washington. Citizens of Crawford, keep up the good work! You make Texans proud. James Carroll, Carrollton,TX
